Walt McKeown was a US Navy Weather Officer and TV weatherman before getting his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993. Formerly known as "Colonel Wingnuts" to the coastal community, Walt was the KOZT weatherman and science journalist for many years.
