The Oscars

The 66th Academy Awards hosted by Whoopi Goldberg at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Monday, March 21, 1994, honoring movies released in 1993. Two films directed by Spielberg won a total of 10 awards: seven for "Schindler's List" and three for "Jurassic Park." All four of the year's acting winners were first-time Academy Award winners. Whoopi Goldberg became the first woman and first African American to serve as the solo host of an Oscar show.
