The Oscars

The 79th Academy Awards hosted by Ellen DeGeneres at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday, February 25, 2007, honoring movies released in 2006. Martin Scorsese won his first Oscar for "The Departed." "An Inconvenient Truth" became the first documentary to also win in the Original Song category. Melissa Etheridge took home the Oscar for "I Need to Wake Up."
