The Bluesbox Collection This is another 3/4 size guitar which I picked up on a business trip to Minnesotta. It has a Lycra back, and is basically a small version of an Ovation. I bought it to use for backpacking trips and the like (although the parlor guitar above has since replaced it in that role). It was originally strung with nylon strings but I replaced them with steel after determining that if I tuned it to standard scale, the shorter strings would not put undue pressure on the face. I have had it strung that way since 1991 with no problem. It has a rather thin sound and I never use it on stage but it works great in a hotel room at night when I don't want to disturb my neighbors.
