This was my favorite performance axe until I bought the Gretch. It is solid spruce on top with mahogany back and sides and has a very pleasing, somewhat bright tone. My wife bought this guitar for me in 1979 after a previous Guild was stolen out of our car (I know, I know - I seem to have a problem that way...) Lonna had left the keys sticking in the trunk lock and felt resposible for the loss. This turned out to be a better guitar then the one that was stolen, by the way. Everything about it is stock except the tuners which are gold Schallers made for a Gibson. Here's a closer look.
