The Bluesbox Collection In this close-up view, you can see the rosewood tailpiece, which dates this guitar to sometime during the war years (when metal parts were at a premium). The Patrician was Harmony's top of the line archtop, with a pressed spruce top. Most had bound fingerboards, but this one doesn't, probably another concession to war-time frugality. It has solid mahogany back and sides and a violin finish - the only archtop I own (so far) that's made out of mahogany. The binding and pickguard are the original tortoise shell. The peg head is a wide "paddle style" with the Harmony and Patrician logotype painted on.
