The Bluesbox Collection

2000 CF Martin D-15

The face is the same mahogany as the body, with a gold band decal around the sound hole. And the Back? ...same story here, folks, nothing but mahogany... not that it matters of course, because the tone and projection of this guitar is excellent. I play it sometimes in bluegrass jams.

I have only owned one other Martin - many years ago (1970) I traded an old Gibson 330 for a Martin D-18. It was from the fifties, I think. An old, beat up guitar with a shaved neck - threatening to come apart because of "unauthorized" repairs that had been done to it over the years. I played the hell out of that instrument for about four years - it was the only guitar I owned during my youthfull "singer/songwriter days" in Berkeley.
