I have only owned one other Martin - many years ago (1970) I traded an old Gibson 330 for a Martin D-18. It was from the fifties, I think. An old, beat up guitar with a shaved neck - threatening to come apart because of "unauthorized" repairs that had been done to it over the years. I played the hell out of that instrument for about four years - it was the only guitar I owned during my youthfull "singer/songwriter days" in Berkeley.
