This instrument is almost identical to the '30's Regal Parlor Guitar shown elsewhere in this collection. The finish is slightly different, but otherwise it is identical in construction amd materials. The top and fingerboard are birch, as are the sides and back. The one piece neck is solid mahogany. The distributor's decal on the peg head reads "The Olympian" then "Cole & Dunas" then "Chicago Makers". The tuners are original and are brass with nickel backing plates, which dates this guitar to after 1920 - probably in the 1930's. This guitar is in remarkable condition for it's age. Like it has been stored somewhere out of the light and air for the last 70 years or so.
