The Perfect Referree

So, Mr. Perfect is the referree for the Championship match. What an opportunity for Curt Hennig to stick it to HBK! We're all sure that Cornette has Hennig in his pocket and expects him to give the match to the Bulldog.!!

This developement only strengthens Shawn's hold on the WWF franchise in my opinion.

I have to remember a situation a few years back when Mr. Perfect was set to be the Tag Team partner of Rick Flair against Savage & Co (Razor Ramon was the Nature Boy's partner, I think). At the last minute Perfect objected that he was being "used", switched sides and became the Macho Man's partner. They went on to beat Flair and send him out of the WWF into temporary retirement.

Gorilla Monsoon talked about the match on Mania this morning. He expressed confidence in Mr. Perfect's integrity , This quality has always been a key element of Curt Hennig's wrestling personna - clear back to when he wrestled in the AWA as his father's partner. Monsoon promised to be on hand at KOTR to enforce his will.

Also remember the good natured banter between Perfect and Michaels at the recent Slammy awards presentation. These two have had a mentor/student relationship of long standing.

Hennig has an uncanny knack for asserting his integrity at key moments and I believe he will do right by his protege in this instance. Look for Shawn to retain the title by a clean pinfall. Bulldog will undoubtably go to WCW as a face wrestler in the not-to-distant future.

Or - we'll find out that Gorilla Monsoon has turned heel and the whole "Guest Referree" scenerio was a work cooked up between him, Perfect, and Cornette!!!

Don't laugh, the "hostile takeover of the promotion" storyline is a longstanding tradition..and .remember - ACHITWWF!

Anyway, that's the way I see it...
