Volume 1, Issue 16
July 1, 1996
This morning it was reported on the MiCasa web page that the Warrior has left the WWF. I checked on RSPW and it is also reported there. Apparently the Warrior has missed several house shows and the report is that Sid Vicious/Justice will be taking his place in the 6-man tag match at the next PPV. It was also reported that Sid has filled in for the Warrior on some of the house shows (Ahmed Johnson also has been doing substitute duty) and that at one show Sid did a run-in at the end of an HBK match in order to save Michaels from a Camp Cornette pounding. I would expect to see this scenerio repeated for the benefit of the TV audience possibly over the weekend (unless there "happened" to be a camera present at the house show - in which case we might see it on RAW tonight). Another rumor is that the Warrior will be the third member of the Invasion Team at the WCW PPV - that could clash with what I am going to report next.
Hogan joins the Invasion Team?
This one is only a rumor at this point. It was speculated about on RSPW and one of the posted replies implied that the WCW is actually considering this angle. In my opinion it would be a master stroke. The idea of Hogan turning heel is fantastic! It would be a big boost to Hogan's career (which he needs - badly!) and also great for the WCW. Imagine the heat!! To paraphrase an old adage "Hell hath no fury like a mark scorned..." I hope it comes to pass.
Anyway, that's the way I see it...
