Sydney Howard is a well known Bay Area quilting teacher. She will be teaching a very fun and
easy Slash, Shift and Sew technique. You should be able to sew most of a 12 block quilt
approximately 44 x 58 inches. This quilt looks difficult but isn't, so everyone will think youŐre
a genius. The required pattern is Magic Tiles by Kathleen Bissett, available at
Sew 'n Sew. Beverages and cookies will be provided.
Cost is $30 if paid by check and $31.50 if paid by credit card or PayPal.

Kathie Sarin is a local quilting teacher. She will be teaching a block that has all the techniques
needed to make an entire quilt. The quilt is a large one; each block is 16" finished. The technique
is to make curved pieces without any curved piecing, no raw edges and no fusing! You will learn to
make your own bias tape using fun fabrics. The required book is Easy Bias-Covered
Curves by Wendy Hill, available at Sew 'n Sew. Beverages and cookies will be provided.
Cost is $30 if paid by check and $31.50 if paid by credit card or PayPal.
