Seiji Sakaguchi/Strong Kobayashi defeated Tiger Jeet Singh/Gama Singh to become the first champions.

2.Tiger Jeet Singh/Umanosuke Ueda
07/15/77-Sapporo, JAPAN
Singh and Umanosuke Ueda vacated the title on 05/21/81 so that Singh could enter IWGP tournament.
Instead, he jumped to All Japan.

The title was abandoned in 1981.
