Akira Hokuto defeated Madusa {Debbie Miceli} in the finals of a tournament to crown the first WCW Women's Heavyweight Title. Hokuto was forced to vacate the title on 09/08/97 due to back and breast injury.

2.Devil Masami
09/20/97-Kawasaki, JAPAN Devil Masami defeated ZERO {Chigusa Nagayo} to win the vacant title.

Devil Masami held the following title in conjunction with the WCW Women's World Heavyweight Title:

  • JWP Tag Team Title won on 11/26/96 with Hikari Fukuoka from Dynamite Kansai/Cutie Suzuki in Tokyo, JAPAN.

    TITLE ABANDONED IN 1997
    There was some talk of reviving it in 1999 but the idea was dropped when the Bischoff/Russo Era began in 2000
