The Fabulous Irishman - Season 1, Episode 39 - 27 Jun. 1957 - In 1918, at the age of 23, Briscoe is swept up in the fever of the Irish rebellion against Britain. He joins the Irish Republican Army and becomes a follower of Eamon de Valera and a member of the Sinn Fein, an Irish nationalist movement working to establish home rule for Ireland.
