The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour (1967-1969)

The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, a comedy and variety show TV series, was a major success on CBS, with daring political satire humor and major music acts like Buffalo Springfield, Pete Seeger and The Who. Despite this success, continual conflicts with network executives over content led to the show being abruptly pulled from the schedule in violation of their contract in 1969. Tom and Dick won a $775,000 settlement from the network for the violation. Each episode is named after the most prominent guest.
