The D.A.'s Man (1958-1959)

The D.A.'s Man was an American television crime drama that aired on NBC. The central character, who went by the single name Shannon (John Compton), was a private detective who worked for the Manhattan district attorney. The program was based on the novel The D.A.'s Man by Harold Danforth and James B. Horan, an autobiographical account of Danforth's law enforcement career, which won the Edgar Award for Best Fact-Crime Book awarded by the Mystery Writers of America.
